Innovatex Protothon – TEXPERIA’26 is a dynamic innovation-driven prototyping competition designed to ignite creativity, technical excellence, and real-time problem-solving skills among aspiring engineers. This protothon provides a platform for students to transform innovative ideas into practical working prototypes and present them before an expert panel. If you have an idea that can create real-world impact, this is your opportunity to build, innovate, and compete. Objective: Encourage innovation and practical problem solving Promote interdisciplinary collaboration Develop prototyping and technical presentation skills Bridge the gap between concepts and implementation Provide exposure to expert evaluation Themes: Projects can be developed under the following domains: Renewable Energy Aerospace Internet of Things (IoT) Circuit Intelligence Open Innovations Event Structure: Round 1 – Online PPT Screening (FREE) Submit your idea in PPT format Evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, impact & clarity Shortlisted teams will move to the final round Submission Window: 28th February – 6th March 2026 Round 2 – Offline Grand Finale 12th March 2026 Venue: SNSCT Campus, Coimbatore Shortlisted teams must build and present their working prototype during the event Team Details: Team Size: 3 – 4 Members Open to UG students from all engineering disciplines Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged Registration Fee: ₹400 per person (applicable for shortlisted teams participating in Round 2) Rewards & Benefits: Prize Pool Worth ₹20,000+ Certificates for all participants Food provided for finalists Networking and recognition opportunities Exposure to expert evaluation panel Rules & Regulations: Each team must consist of 3–4 members only. Participants must carry a valid college ID card during the offline round. The idea submitted in Round 1 must be the same project developed for Round 2 (major deviations are not allowed without prior approval). The prototype must be built entirely during the event. No prior prototyping, pre-assembled models, or ready-made implementations are allowed. Teams are permitted to bring raw materials and components only. Projects must be original and innovative. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification. Teams must bring their own required components, laptops, hardware, and tools for the final round. Power supply will be provided; any special requirements must be informed in advance. Judges’ decisions will be final and binding. Teams must adhere strictly to event timelines. Late submissions will not be considered. Any form of misconduct, misbehavior, or damage to property will result in disqualification. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify rules if necessary.
