About the challenge
Welcome to the Ideathon subset of our climate challenge! This track is purely focused on high-level ideation, grounded in scientific truth and personal history. To ensure only the most viable, impactful concepts rise to the top, all submissions will undergo a rigorous, multi-stage peer review round before hitting the final judging panel.
Dive into the realm of ideas, tap into something inward, and make sure you smile—let's pitch for the environment!
Get started
Teams must conceptualize a solution—whether an app, physical prototype blueprint, community initiative, or policy framework—that leverages or mimics how plants solve environmental issues.
Every single pitch must seamlessly address two foundational pillars:
1. The Science: What specific plant mechanism or botanical research inspired this? (e.g., phytoremediation in sunflowers, stomata water-retention in succulents).
2. The Lived Experience: How does this connect to a climate issue you or your community have personally witnessed? (e.g., urban heat islands in your neighborhood, local flooding, declining crop yields on a family farm).
