Build for Bharat 2026 is a national-level, 3-day flagship innovation hackathon that brings together students from diverse disciplines to design, prototype, and pitch technology-driven solutions for real-world societal challenges aligned with India’s national development priorities and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Participants will work on problem statements rooted in community needs, sustainability, governance, healthcare, education, agriculture, and digital inclusion—using cutting-edge technologies to build impactful and scalable solutions.
Theme: Innovation for Nation-Building | Atmanirbhar Bharat
Focus areas may include (but are not limited to):
Smart & sustainable infrastructure
Healthcare & wellbeing
Education & skill development
Agriculture & rural innovation
Digital governance & inclusion
Environmental sustainability
AI for social good
Problem Statements: (for detailed PS, visit the pdf attached in Phase 1)
1. Navigating Digital Rights: AI for Content Licensing & Compliance - As digital content libraries expand, managing licensing rights manually becomes error-prone and risky. Build an AI-driven solution to automate contract analysis, monitor compliance, and generate real-time alerts for licensing violations, ensuring legal compliance and operational efficiency.
2. Building an Inclusive World for Neurodiverse Individuals - Neurodiverse individuals face barriers in education, employment, and daily life due to lack of awareness and accessible solutions. Develop innovative, scalable tech solutions that empower neurodiverse people and promote inclusivity across learning, work, and everyday activities.
3. Transforming Logistics for a Sustainable Future - The logistics sector faces inefficiencies, high emissions, and vulnerability to disruptions. Create tech-driven solutions using AI, IoT, blockchain, or data analytics to optimize operations, reduce environmental impact, and build resilient supply chains.
4. Improving Healthcare Access in Underserved Communities - Millions lack access to basic healthcare due to infrastructure gaps and professional shortages. Develop innovative, scalable solutions aligned with UN SDG 3 to improve healthcare access, preventive care, and health outcomes in underserved regions.
5. Addressing the Growing E-Waste Crisis - Rapid tech adoption and shorter device lifecycles are driving a global e-waste crisis. Build sustainable solutions aligned with UN SDG 12 to reduce e-waste through better tracking, recycling, reuse, and responsible consumption.
6. Generative AI for Youth Mental Wellness - Mental health stigma and limited access prevent Indian youth from seeking help. Build a confidential, empathetic generative AI solution using Google Cloud to support emotional well-being, provide guidance, and normalize mental health conversations.
