Event Overview:
EVathon is an Electric Vehicle–focused innovation hackathon aimed at promoting advancements in EV technology, smart mobility, sustainable energy, and future mobility systems.
Participants will build innovative prototypes, simulations, or models aligned with EV technology domains such as Battery Systems, Charging Infrastructure, Smart Mobility, IoT in EVs, Autonomous Features, Renewable Energy Integration, and Green Technology.
Eligibility:
Open to UG (Engineering) students only.
Team size: 6 members.
Each team must nominate one Team Leader for communication.
General Participation Guidelines:
Projects must be aligned with Electric Vehicle technology themes.
Solutions may include hardware prototypes, simulation models, software applications, IoT systems, analytical dashboards, or hybrid solutions.
Solutions must align with at least ONE broad EV domain:
Battery & Energy Management
Charging Infrastructure
Connected & Autonomous EVs
Smart EV Mobility Systems
Sustainable & Green Energy for EVs
EV Safety & Performance Monitoring
All submissions must include:
Problem statement
Proposed solution
System workflow / architecture diagram
Hardware/Software components used
Prototype/demo video
Code repository (if software-based)
Originality is mandatory — plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification.
Teams must attend all evaluation rounds and checkpoints.
Technical Guidelines
Mandatory Technical Components
Projects must include at least one of the following:
EV simulation, hardware prototype, or IoT-based monitoring system
Smart/optimized energy usage model
EV route optimization, load balancing, or charging management
Sensors-based monitoring (BMS, temperature, speed, safety, etc.)
Real-time dashboard, analytics, or mobile app
Additional Technical Expectations (based on theme)
AI/ML–based prediction (battery health, energy usage, safety alerts)
Motor & controller interface simulation
Charging station load distribution & scheduling
IoT integration with cloud dashboards
Embedded systems or microcontroller usage (ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
Renewable energy integration (solar charging, hybrid systems)
Submission Requirements
Prelims – Online Submission (Round 1) Date : 10.01.2026\
Only PPT submission is required
Teams must submit a single PPT (8–10 slides) containing:
Project Title & EV domain/theme
Problem statement
Proposed solution (conceptual only)
High-level architecture / conceptual block diagram
Expected hardware components or modules
Innovation & uniqueness
Feasibility and potential impact
Team details
Note: No prototype, video, documentation, or code is required for the prelims. Shortlisting will be based solely on the PPT.
Final Round – Offline Submission (04/02/2026):
Prototype/HW/SW development
Technical implementation
Usability & impact
Presentation & demo
Teams shortlisted for the final round must submit the complete project package.
Event Rules:
Teams must work strictly within the allotted hackathon hours.
Hardware building, wiring, soldering, testing, and integration must be done only at the venue (unless otherwise permitted).
Teams must bring their own components, tools, sensors, microcontrollers, batteries, and accessories.
Only safe, low-voltage components are allowed. High-voltage EV battery packs are not permitted.
Use of pre-built commercial EV kits that complete major functionality is not allowed—projects must show original hardware implementation.
Teams may use:
Microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino, STM32, etc.)
Development boards (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, etc.)
Small-scale motors, mini battery packs, sensors, custom PCBs, 3D-printed parts
Use of dangerous chemicals, high-current power supplies, or Li-ion battery packs above permitted limits is prohibited.
No external fabrication labs, PCB services, or external assistance during the hackathon hours.
External paid APIs/components/tools are not allowed unless explicitly permitted by organizers
Teams must maintain safe working practices at all times; violation of safety rules results in immediate disqualification.
