About the Event
XTARD 2.0 is a 24-hour national-level rural hackathon aimed at fostering innovation for sustainable rural development. The event brings together student innovators, researchers, and mentors to develop practical, technology-driven solutions aligned with Local Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).
Participants will work on real-world rural challenges across domains such as agriculture, healthcare, energy, governance, and social inclusion, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and impactful innovation.
Event Objective
The primary objective of XTARD 2.0 is to promote socially responsible innovation by encouraging students to develop scalable and sustainable solutions for rural challenges. The hackathon aims to bridge the gap between technology and rural development while empowering young innovators to contribute towards nation-building.
There is no registration fee for Round 1. Only teams shortlisted for Round 2 are required to pay ₹300 to continue in the competition.

Open to students from UBA Participating Institutes under RCI – IIT Madras and Sairam Institutions
UG students from all branches
Valid college ID mandatory
