GitHub DevDays Hackathon is an innovation-driven hackathon inspired by GitHub Copilot Dev Days, designed to empower students to build impactful real-world solutions using AI-assisted development, GitHub workflows, and open-source technologies.
The hackathon focuses on collaboration, innovation, and practical learning aligned with modern software development practices.
Eligibility:
Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Students from any branch or specialization are eligible.
Beginners as well as experienced developers can participate.
Individual and team participation allowed.
Team Guidelines:
Team Size: Minimum 1 member, Maximum 4 members.
Inter-college teams are allowed.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
Cross-year teams are permitted.
A participant can be part of only one team.
Hackathon Format:
Round 1: Idea Submission & Screening
Participants register through Unstop.
Teams submit their project idea or select a problem statement.
Evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.
Round 2: Development Phase
Shortlisted teams build their solution during the development period.
Teams must maintain an active GitHub repository.
Use of AI development tools and open-source technologies is encouraged.
Round 3: Final Submission & Demo
Teams submit:

Final evaluation conducted by judges.

Number of Problem Statements: Open-ended innovation (participants may propose their own ideas aligned with themes).

Rules & Guidelines:
Projects must be developed during the hackathon timeline.
Previously built or submitted projects are not allowed.
All submissions must include a public GitHub repository.
Plagiarism or copied solutions will lead to disqualification.
Teams must follow ethical coding practices.
Organizers reserve the right to modify rules if necessary.
Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
Participants must maintain respectful and professional conduct.
