CodeQuest: The Ultimate Tech Hunt
CodeQuest: The Ultimate Tech Hunt is a multi-round technical competition designed to test participants on knowledge, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. The event combines a quiz, a campus-based treasure hunt, and a final problem-solving challenge to create an engaging and competitive experience.
Eligibility & Team Formation:
Open to all students
Team size: 2 members
Inter-college teams: Allowed
Inter-specialization teams: Allowed
Each team must register through the official platform
One member will act as the team leader for communication
Event Format:
The event consists of three rounds:
Round 1: Quiz Round
Mode: Controlled environment
Number of questions: 10
Marks per question: 10 points
Total marks: 100 points
Duration: 30 minutes
Questions will be manually curated and randomly assigned to each team
Round 2: Campus Tech Treasure Hunt
Total checkpoints: 10
Points per checkpoint: 200 points
Process:
Teams log in to the website
A random checkpoint is assigned
Teams navigate to the location
Volunteer verifies team identity
Question is unlocked
Team solves the problem
Checkpoint marked as complete
Each checkpoint includes questions of varying difficulty (Easy/Medium/Hard)
Teams must complete all checkpoints
Round 3: Final Problem-Solving
Qualification: Top 10 teams from Round 2
Format: Real-world technical problem statements

Approach
Creativity

Round 2: Time-based (varies based on completion speed)

Rules & Guidelines:
General Rules:
All participants must carry valid ID cards
Teams must follow instructions given by organizers and volunteers
Any form of misconduct may lead to disqualification
Quiz Round Rules:
No mobile phones or external devices allowed
No tab switching or external help
Strict invigilation will be followed
Malpractice leads to immediate disqualification
Treasure Hunt Rules:
Teams must follow the assigned checkpoint order
Each checkpoint must be verified by a volunteer
No skipping checkpoints
Use of unfair means is strictly prohibited
Final Round Rules:
Solutions must be original
Teams will be evaluated fairly by judges
Decision of judges will be final
Scoring & Leaderboard:
Scores are automatically calculated by the system
A live leaderboard will be maintained
Organizers reserve the right to manually adjust scores in special cases
