Overview IEEE Mega Project 8.0 is a flagship project-based competition designed to encourage innovation, problem-solving, and real-world application of technology. Participants will conceptualize and build a working solution and get the opportunity to present their work before experienced professionals from leading tech organizations. Exciting rewards, recognition, and valuable industry exposure await the best teams. Who Can Participate? Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all branches and disciplines Participation is team-based Each team must consist of 2–3 members Competition Flow Phase 1: Project Building & Submission Teams must design and implement a fully working project based on an original idea. Submissions must include (before the deadline): GitHub repository link containing complete source code Live deployed project link (working demo) Note: A PPT is not required in Phase 1. Submissions will be evaluated on originality, practicality, and technical soundness. Phase 2: Final Presentation Round Selected teams will be invited to deliver a live project demonstration and presentation. Teams must present a Project PPT covering: Problem identification and proposed solution Tools, frameworks, and technologies used System design and implementation strategy Obstacles faced and how they were resolved Scope, impact, and future enhancement possibilities A panel comprising industry professionals and domain experts will judge the teams based on: Depth of technical implementation Creativity and uniqueness of the idea Real-world relevance and usefulness Communication and presentation effectiveness Guidelines & Regulations All projects must be new and independently developed specifically for IEEE Mega Project 8.0 Any form of plagiarism or reuse of existing templates/projects will lead to immediate disqualification Teams must strictly follow all submission timelines Decisions made by the evaluation panel will be final and non-negotiable Evaluation Parameters Innovation & Originality – Freshness of the idea Technical Strength – Design complexity and execution quality Practical Impact – Applicability to real-world problems Scalability – Potential for expansion and long-term use Presentation & Defense – Explanation clarity and response to questions Important Dates Registration Closes: 24 December 2025 Phase 1 Submission Deadline: 24 January 2026 Final Presentation Round: Schedule to be announced Awards & Recognition Top Teams: Cash prizes worth up to ₹25,000 along with Certificates of Achievement All Participants: Official Participation Certificates Important: Official Communication Channel To ensure that you do not miss any important updates, announcements, instructions, or deadline changes, it is mandatory for all participants to join the official IEEE Mega Project 8.0 information group.
