About the Event:
Cloudathon is a cloud-focused hackathon aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will build scalable, cloud-native solutions using technologies such as AI, IoT, DevOps, Security, and Big Data. This event serves as a premier platform for students to showcase their technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving abilities while addressing real-world challenges across diverse domains.
The hackathon will be conducted based on the following competitive rounds:
An online idea submission and evaluation phase (Prelims)
A 7-hour on-campus hackathon, where shortlisted teams will transform their ideas into working solutions under real-time constraints, mentorship, and industry-aligned problem statements.
Eligibility:
Participants must be currently enrolled in an engineering program in India.
Eligible Programs:
B.E / B.Tech
Integrated / Dual Degree (Engineering)
Additional Eligibility Criteria:
Students from any engineering department and any year of study are eligible.
Cross-department teams are permitted.
Each participant may be a member of only one team.
Participants must produce a valid college ID card upon request at any stage for verification.
Any violation of eligibility criteria will result in immediate disqualification.
Team Formation:
Each team must consist of exactly 6 members.
Cross-department teams are allowed.
No changes in team composition will be permitted after registration.
Teams shortlisted for the on-campus round must participate with the same registered members.
Round 1 – Idea Submission & Prelims (Online):
Format:
The Prelims round will be conducted through Idea Submission.
Participants must submit ideas based on the official themes and problem statements. Problem Statement Link!
The submission must clearly explain how cloud technologies will be implemented in the proposed solution.
Only teams that submit the PPT idea file will be considered for selection.
File Naming Convention:
The uploaded PPT file must follow this format: CLOUDATHON_TeamName_CollegeName.pptx
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions must strictly adhere to the provided PPT template.
Ideas must be uploaded only through the Unstop platform.

Round 2 – On-Campus Hackathon:
Date: 4 February 2026
Mode: Offline
Participation Details:
Only teams shortlisted from Round 1 are eligible.
Each shortlisted participant must pay a participation fee of ₹350 on campus.
Food will be provided to all participants.
Reporting and Conduct:
Participants must report at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Late entries will not be permitted.
Participants may leave the venue only with explicit permission from the organizing committee.
All instructions issued by the organizing committee must be strictly followed throughout the event.
General Participation Guidelines:
All projects must be deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
A minimum of three cloud services must be used:
Compute
Storage
Database / Analytics / AI
Solutions must align with at least ONE SDG: SDG 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, or 16.

Originality is mandatory. Any form of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
Teams must attend all checkpoints and evaluations.
Event Rules:
Teams must work only during the allotted hackathon hours.
No external paid APIs may be used unless explicitly allowed.
Only open datasets or original datasets are permitted.
The judges’ decisions are final and binding.
Any misconduct, abusive behavior, or misuse of resources will result in immediate removal.

AI Tools Policy:
AI tools may be used only for learning and reference purposes.
Direct copy-pasting of AI-generated code is strongly discouraged.
Teams are fully responsible for ensuring the originality and integrity of their submissions.
Prizes and Rewards:
Exciting prizes and rewards will be awarded to the top-performing teams of Cloudathon 2026.
Winning teams will receive certificates of excellence along with a cash prize.
All eligible participants will receive participation e-certificates.
Discipline and Safety:
Participants must maintain cleanliness and comply with all venue safety regulations.
Any form of misconduct, rule violation, or property damage may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the event.
