The Battery Hackathon comes back to Berlin!
Join us and 80+ hackers from across Europe and beyond for the Berlin Battery Hackathon on April 24–26, 2026, in Berlin.
We want to bring together builders from battery technology, energy markets, and energy operations to work on real challenges around storage, grid applications, and intelligent energy management.
Batteries have become strategic infrastructure. They shape grid resilience, renewable integration, and energy security — and this hackathon is meant to turn those challenges into concrete solutions.
You’ll work on challenges from industry partners, get direct feedback from experts, and spend 36 hours building alongside developers, engineers, founders, and energy professionals.
Our goal with the hackathon is to put you in a position to continue towards a real pilot or project.
Partners
CustomCells — One of Europe's leading custom battery cell manufacturers, developing application-specific lithium-ion cells for mobility, aviation, and stationary storage.
alteva — Deep-tech startup building next-generation battery analytics and intelligent energy management systems.
EEX (European Energy Exchange) — Europe's leading energy exchange, operating spot and derivatives markets for power, gas, and environmental products across 20+ countries.
Enefit — Major Estonian utility and one of Europe's largest oil shale energy producers, now driving large-scale renewable and flexibility service deployment across Northern Europe.
Visitors
To give the participants time and space to focus on their projects during the hackathon, we'll have no visitors. If you're curious about the outcomes and what the teams have built, please sign up as a visitor for the demo day on Sunday.
