SYNAPSE 3.0 – Bridging Minds and Machines is an intercollege AI/ML hackathon designed to bring together students to solve real-world problem statements through innovation, collaboration, and rapid prototyping.
Participants will work in teams to build solutions from scratch within a limited timeframe and present their approach to judges.
Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate engineering students
Team Size: 1 to 3 members per team
Inter-college teams: Not Allowed
Inter-specialization teams: Allowed
Problem Statements:
3 problem statements will be provided
Teams must select and work on one
Problem statements will be revealed on the day of the event
Format:
Offline, on-site hackathon
Teams will build their solution during the event duration
Final presentations will be evaluated by judges
Duration:
Total event duration: 8 hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Includes problem statement reveal, development time, and evaluation
Rules
Teams must adhere to the specified team size (1–3 members)
All work must be completed during the hackathon hours
Use of external libraries, frameworks, and open-source tools is allowed
Pre-built or pre-trained models are allowed, but teams must clearly explain their approach and contribution
Internet access will be permitted, but plagiarism or copying solutions will lead to disqualification
Teams must submit their final solution within the given time
Each team must present their solution to the judges

Innovation and approach
Technical implementation
Practical impact
Presentation
The decision of the judges will be final
