Prompt Wars
“Think Smart. Prompt Smarter.”
Event Overview:Prompt Wars is an individual competitive event designed to test your ability to engineer precise, structured, and strategic prompts to control AI-generated outputs.
This is not about basic AI usage—it’s about how effectively you can:
Guide AI behavior
Enforce strict constraints
Structure outputs accurately
Optimize prompt efficiency
Event Timings:
Date: 28th March
Start Time: 11:00 A.M. onwards
Mode of Conduct:
The event will be conducted online
Participants must ensure a stable internet connection throughout
Participation:
Individual participation only
Each participant will be given access to a controlled AI interface
Only the provided platform may be used during the event
Event Structure:The competition consists of multiple progressive rounds, each testing a different aspect of prompt engineering:
Round 1 — Precision Round
Objective:Generate exact output under strict constraints
Rules:
Outputs must strictly follow:
Word limits
Format restrictions
Specific instructions (e.g., avoid certain words)
Any deviation will result in penalties
Focus: Accuracy & control
Round 2 — Format & Control Round
Objective:Force AI to follow a strict output structure
Rules:
Outputs must be in:
Exact JSON format
Fixed schema
Defined structure
Even minor errors (missing keys, incorrect format) will be penalized
No extra or missing fields allowed
Round 3 — Logical Thinking Round
Objective:Design prompts that enforce structured reasoning
Rules:
AI must:
Break down problems step-by-step
Provide clear logical reasoning
Arrive at correct conclusions
Prompts should ensure clarity + correctness
Round 4 — Security Round
Objective:Handle malicious or misleading instructions
Rules:
Participants will receive prompts with:
Conflicting instructions
Override attempts
You must design prompts that:
Prevent misuse
Maintain task focus
Produce safe and correct output
Final Round — Live Challenge
Objective:Perform under time pressure
Rules:
Time-bound challenge
Output must be:
Concise
Structured
Accurate
Strict limits on:
Time
Output size
Top performers from previous rounds qualify.
Time Rules:
Each round has a fixed time limit
Late submissions will not be accepted
Efficient time management is critical
Scoring System:Participants will be evaluated on:
Accuracy of output
Adherence to constraints
Clarity of prompt design
Logical structuring
Efficiency in prompt usage
Penalties may apply for:
Incorrect format
Missing constraints
Irrelevant or incomplete outputs
Platform Policy:
Participants must use the controlled AI interface provided
Use of external tools, browsers, or devices is strictly prohibited
All prompts and outputs will be monitored and logged
General Rules:
Individual participation only
Only the provided platform must be used
Prompts must be original and created during the event
No external help or collaboration allowed
All submissions must be within the time limit
Any unfair practice will result in disqualification
Participants must follow all organizer instructions
Conduct:Participants are expected to:
Maintain professionalism
Follow all event guidelines and instructions
Winning Criteria:
Participants with the highest cumulative score across all rounds will be declared winners.
Final Round performance may carry higher weightage.
Judgment:All decisions by the organizers regarding scoring, eliminations, and results are final and binding.
