InnovateNSUT'26 , organized by DevComm-NSUT, is a 24-hour offline hackathon designed to challenge participants to develop innovative solutions using technology. This high-intensity coding marathon will push the boundaries of creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. It is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with peers, and receive guidance from industry experts while working on real-world challenges. The hackathon will take place on 31st Jan - 1 Feb, 2026, at NSUT-Delhi. Teams of 1-4 members will compete against each other, leveraging cutting-edge tools and frameworks to build functional prototypes within the given timeframe. Participants will also have access to mentors and technical experts who will provide valuable insights and feedback throughout the event.
Eligibility Criteria:
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all colleges.
Inter-college teams are allowed, meaning students from different institutions can form a team.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed, encouraging collaboration across diverse skill sets.
All participants must be physically present at the venue for the full 24-hour duration.
Event Format:
The hackathon will be divided into multiple structured phases to ensure a smooth and competitive experience.
Opening Ceremony & Problem Statement Reveal
Participants will be welcomed and introduced to the competition format.
The official problem statements will be revealed at the start of the hackathon.
Development Phase
Teams will start working on their selected problem statement using various programming languages and frameworks.
Mentorship sessions will be available to guide teams in refining their solutions.
Midway Evaluation
Mentors will assess the progress of each team.
Constructive feedback will be given to help teams enhance their solutions.
Final Submission & Pitching
Teams will submit their final prototype before the deadline.
Each team will present their solution to a panel of judges, including industry professionals and faculty members.
Judging & Prize Distribution
Solutions will be evaluated based on innovation, technical execution, feasibility, and impact.
The top-performing teams will receive prizes, and certificates.
Duration & Rounds:
The 24-hour hackathon will be structured into three major rounds:
Round 1: Ideation & Development (First 12 Hours) – Teams brainstorm, research, and begin coding.
Round 2: Midway Evaluation & Feedback (Next 8 Hours) – Judges assess the work-in-progress and provide insights.
Round 3: Final Submission & Pitching (Last 4 Hours) – Teams finalize their project and present it to the jury.
Rules & Regulations:
Pre-registration is mandatory; on-spot registrations will not be accepted.
Projects must be developed from scratch during the hackathon.
Participants must bring their own laptops and necessary development tools.
Internet access will be provided at the venue.
Any form of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
Judges decisions will be final and binding.
Surprise Problem Statements
To maintain excitement and ensure fairness, the problem statements will only be revealed at the start of the hackathon. Teams will be given diverse challenges that address real-world issues, requiring innovative and scalable solutions. The hackathon will test participants' ability to think on their feet, adapt quickly, and develop impactful technology-driven solutions.
