Event Overview: Event Name: ITERYX ’26 Type: 24-hour Inter-College, Interdisciplinary Software Hackathon Mode: Fully offline Objective: Challenge students to build innovative, technically sound, and scalable solutions across emerging technology domains. Teams will move from idea conceptualization to full prototype development and present their final solution to an industry jury panel. Important Dates: Registration Opens: March 1, 2026 Registration Closes: March 20, 2026 Shortlist Announcement: March 21, 2026 Confirmation Deadline: March 26, 2026 Hackathon Dates: March 30–31, 2026 Valedictory & Prize Distribution: March 31, 2026 (2:00 PM) Domains: Artificial Intelligence Sustainability FinTech Healthcare Cybersecurity Open innovation category available within each domain Each domain has 20 curated problem statements Eligibility: Inter-college participation All departments allowed All years allowed (1st to 4th year) Team size: Exactly 6 members Cross-department teams allowed Cross-college teams not allowed Only shortlisted teams can participate in the 24-hour hackathon Registration & Shortlisting Process: Stage 1 – PPT Submission (During Registration): Teams must submit a 6-slide PPT at the time of registration Shortlisting criteria: Idea clarity, innovation, feasibility, technical approach, problem understanding Limited registrations; strict adherence to deadlines is mandatory Hackathon Structure (Final Round): Timing: March 30 – 9:00 AM to March 31 – 9:00 AM Evaluation 1 – Day 1 (4:00 PM): PPT refinement, prototype progress, technical direction Evaluation 2 – Day 2 (8:00 AM): Final demo, working prototype, technical validation, pitch presentation Valedictory & Prize Distribution: 2:00 PM (Day 2) Deliverables: Final PPT (based on original structure) Working prototype (mandatory) Source code GitHub repository (if applicable) Deployment link (if applicable) Documentation Note: Pure ideation without working implementation will not be considered Evaluation Criteria: Round 1 (Shortlisting Stage): Innovation, feasibility, technical clarity, problem understanding Round 2 (Hackathon Evaluation): Technical soundness, scalability, implementation quality, practicality, overall impact Evaluation Panel: Industry jury Weightage: Will be announced before the hackathon begins Mentoring: Online mentoring session after shortlist announcement Common guidance session during hackathon Mentors provide conceptual guidance only; no physical coding assistance Prizes: Total Prize Pool: ₹35,000 and growing Overall winners – Top 3 Teams Internship offers for all winners and the selected best projects Participation certificates for all shortlisted teams Special surprise awards (to be announced) Rules & Guidelines: Prior work is strictly not allowed All development must happen during the hackathon window AI tools allowed if: zero plagiarism, technical understanding demonstrated, feasibility and scalability justified Internet access provided; use of open-source libraries and APIs allowed Code plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification Disqualification Criteria: Plagiarism in any form Absence during evaluation rounds or hackathon days Late submissions Violation of team size rules External coding assistance On-Campus Guidelines: Overnight stay only within the venue premises Food and refreshments are provided both days Travel allowances are participant's responsibility Chennai bus routes shared in advance Participants must bring: Valid ID, personal laptops, chargers, and required gadgets Waitlist Policy: If shortlisted teams fail to confirm by March 26, waitlisted teams will be contacted based on ranking order General Notes: The registration template must not be altered or shortened Limited slots available All official communication via registered email and WhatsApp groups Organizers reserve the right to modify evaluation parameters if required
