Building AI Scientists
Join us for an evening dedicated to accelerating the velocity of scientific discovery.
We're exploring the frontiers of AI for science, progressing from simple automations into a world where embodied AI could own the research lifecycle — designing, executing, and learning from experiments in real-time often with a closed loop.
Expect live demos and technical insights from the teams building infrastructure for AI scientists:
Lee Cronin (Founder & CEO, Chemify) - SoTA Letter
Shamit Shrivastava (Cofounder & CEO, Apoha)
Calum & James (winners of SoTA’s Embodied Intelligence Hackathon) - SoTA Letter
Miao Guo (King's College London, self-reflective AI scientist)
Pranay Shah & Aayush Chadha (ARIA)
We’ll then have a mixer with food and drinks hosted by IQ Capital.
Space is limited to ensure talent density and a high-quality environment for demos & discussion. Please include a line of context on your interest in self-driving labs.

SoTA (the Society for Technological Advancement) is the cross-disciplinary community for Britain's most promising scientists, engineers and technologists. We identify and aggregate exceptional talent early in their trajectories, and cultivate optimism about technoscientific progress.
Frontiers Nights:
The best way to predict is to create, and we need more exceptional talent creating futures they want to see. SoTA's Frontiers Nights aim to showcase some of this promising work, inspire optimism, and encourage action.
Frontiers Nights feature technologists advancing the state of the art across domains and themes. We have live demos, lightning talks and active audience engagement, bringing together scientists, engineers, technologists, founders, funders and policymakers who are optimistic about our shared future.
