About Protowar 1.0:
PROTOWAR 1.0 is a national-level prototype (solution) development competition where innovators, engineers, and researchers transform bold ideas into working, real-world solutions.
Participants experience the complete product development journey, from problem identification and system design to prototype building, testing, and final demonstration.
The competition focuses on applying engineering fundamentals, AI/ML, IoT, and rapid prototyping to solve practical challenges.
Teams are guided by expert mentors from IIT Delhi and startup founders to refine technical execution, originality, and industry relevance, preparing them for real-world innovation and entrepreneurship.

Event Overview:
National-level innovation and prototype development competition.
Hands-on exposure to AI/ML, IoT, and real-world engineering systems.
Mentorship by IIT Delhi experts and startup founders.

Platform for transforming prototypes into scalable solutions or startup ideas.
Event Flow:
Pre-Event Mentorship Program:
Dates: 13th–14th February 2026.
Shortlisted teams receive expert guidance on system architecture, problem validation, and prototype feasibility before the main event.
Round 1 – Prototype Development (On-Campus):
Dates: 19th–21st February 2026.
Venue: Chandigarh University, D3 Block.
Participants: Top 50 teams.
Activities include:
Problem research and analysis.
System design and prototype development.
AI/ML model integration, if required.
Continuous monitoring and feedback by expert panel members.
Round 2 – Grand Finale Presentations:
Teams will present:
Fully working prototype.
Novelty and technical uniqueness.
Optimization logic and performance insights.
Key learnings and development journey.
Prize Pool:
First Prize: ₹1,00,000.
Second Prize: ₹50,000.
National recognition and expert evaluation certificates for finalists.
Eligibility:
Open to engineering, polytechnic, and research students from any discipline.
Team size: 1–4 members.
Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
Resources:
Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and required hardware.
Internet access will be provided on campus.
Additional tools or components for prototypes must be managed by the teams.
