Blitz 2026 is an electrifying competitive programming tournament organized by IEEE SPIT, designed to challenge the sharpest coding minds. It is a two-round event, testing participants on speed, accuracy, and problem-solving under pressure.
Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate students.
Team Size: Individual participation only.
Platform: Round 1 and Round 2 both will be conducted offline on 6th February 2026 at SPIT.
Rounds & Format:
Round 1: Qualifier Round (Offline)
Duration: 30 minutes
Format: Standard Competitive Programming Contest
The top 64 participants will qualify for the next round.
Round 2: Blitz Tournament (Offline)
Format: 1v1 Knockout
Each match consists of one problem, increasing in difficulty with each round.
Match duration would be dynamic depending on the difficulty.
Single-elimination bracket: Top 64 → Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals
Final Round: A three-problem challenge to determine the ultimate champion.
Rules:
Gates will close at 4:00 pm, after which no one will be permitted to enter.
Participants must not use AI-assisted tools or external help during any round.
Code sharing is strictly prohibited, violators will be disqualified immediately.
Participants must use only the supported programming languages on HackerRank.
In Round 2, if a match remains unsolved within the given time, the first correct submission wins.
Participants must carry their college ID cards for the contest.
The decision of the organizing committee will be final in case of disputes.
Additional information:
Participants are to bring their own laptops.
Refreshments will be provided on the day of the competition.
