In the E-Contest, you’ll test the limits of your programming knowledge, enhance your problem-solving abilities, and become familiar with languages you’ve probably never seen before. Event Format: Individual Event: Each participant competes solo, ensuring a fair and focused experience for everyone. Two Rounds: The contest consists of online prelims and finals at IIT Madras during Shaastra. How It Works: Esoteric Language Introduction: At the start of the contest, you’ll be introduced to an esoteric programming language along with essential guidance on how to use it. Don’t worry if you’ve never seen it before; a quick introduction will get you up to speed. Challenge Set: A set of questions will be provided, each requiring creative solutions coded in the assigned language. The questions are designed to test your problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unusual coding syntax and concepts. Scoring: Points will be awarded for each correctly solved problem. The maximum points and fastest solutions will determine the winner, so accuracy and speed are both crucial. Winner Selection: The individual with the highest score and the least time taken to solve all problems will be declared the winner.
