Looking for a space to work on your hardware project? Searching for the right tools, people, and new ideas? Hosted by Santiago Del Solar at Akatos, 7:00 PM, with plenty of camaraderie. This Monday: He’ll teach you everything you need to get started with 3D printing, from using a 3D printer and the software to finding quality 3D files online. It’s one of the best ways to bring your ideas to life for art, engineering, and creative projects. He’ll walk you through his personal workflow (refined over 8 years) and a few practical tricks he’s picked up along the way. At the end, you’ll print a 3D file of your choice on any of our five machines at Akatos. See you there! :) About Santiago:A resident of Akatos house, Santiago is the hardware guru. Yes, his Iron Man Suit project is famous; but he is better known for his thoughtful disposition, hardware hackathon wins (including aquatic fish and Bass Bot, a robot that plays guitar), and has in-depth knowledge of hardware assembly (mechanical, electrical, and embedded) on a large-scale. About Akatos House: Akatos is Waterloo's first founder residency, committed to helping you make something exceptional. We want to help you win. Apply for Winter 2026 cohort at Akatos.house
