Base Batches 003: Student Track

What is Base Batches? Base Batches - is a program designed to help builders kickstart their business. This is your chance to get noticed, get funded, and get the support you need to bring your idea to market. Base Batches this year will feature two dedicated tracks: - Startup Track – For early stage teams. Generally we’re looking for teams who are anywhere from pre-product, pre-launch, or pre-seed and have raised less than ~$250k. The top 15 teams will receive a $20k grant, acceptance to an 8 week virtual program, access to Base builder hubs, and a spot to present at Demo Day in San Francisco this May. A minimum of 5 teams will receive a $50k investment from the Base Ecosystem Fund, with the overall winner receiving $75k. - Student Track – Open to students from around the world. Teams can only include undergraduate students, however a single team can comprise students from multiple universities. The top 5 teams will be flown to San Francisco and present during Demo Day This is the page for the Student Track. About the Student Track The Base team is excited to add a dedicated student track to Base Batches. Undergraduate students from around the world may form teams and submit their application by April 20 to be eligible. The Base team will select the 5 top overall teams and fly up to 2 team members from each team out to San Francisco to join us for Demo Day. This is not a hackathon. It doesn’t matter if you had previously written code for the project you ultimately submit. Prizes The top 5 teams will fly to San Francisco to join the Start-up track finalists in presenting during Demo Day. Each winning team will have all expenses covered for two team members. Demo Day Teams from both tracks will then join us for Demo Day live from San Francisco. Teams will then present to a live audience with investors, VCs and accelerators whom we invite to attend. A minimum of 3 teams will receive a $50k investment from the Base Ecosystem Fund, and the overall winner will receive $75k. All teams will be considered for investment by Coinbase Ventures.
