Beta Hacks is a high-velocity monthly hackathon for ambitious builders, engineers, and founders to rapidly prototype and ship functional products. Backed by top mentors, investors, and GTM operators, participants build solo or in teams to validate early-stage ideas. Ship your product and demo your technical execution and real-world potential directly to a community built for action.

βοΈ Hackathon Focus Tracks
Directional, not restrictive. Build across tracks or forge your own path.
π€ Track 1: Robotics & Embodied Agents: Get a robot to perceive, decide, and act in the real world. Teleoperate and train a policy on a provided robot arm, run a simulated robot, or bring your own hardware. You donβt need to assemble anything β focus on control, autonomy, and task completion. We will have a limited number of robots available for use.
π‘ Track 2: Sensing & Spatial Intelligence: Turn raw sensor data into real-world decisions. LiDAR, IMU, audio, thermal, depth β or just the sensor suite already in your phone. Think predictive maintenance, fall detection, indoor mapping, acoustic anomaly detection, or occupancy analytics.
π₯ Track 3: Video Intelligence & World Models: Teach machines to understand the physical world through video. Real-time safety monitoring, movement coaching, inventory counting from a webcam, video-to-robot instructions, or anything that uses world models to predict what happens next in a physical scene.
π Wildcard (Open Category)
π Prizes & Bounties
π₯ Audience Favorite Awards Ranked-Choice Voting: 1st Place: $600 | 2nd Place: $500 | 3rd Place: $400
β‘ Beta Fellowship Outstanding teams bypass standard applications and roll directly into the 8-week Beta University pre-accelerator to scale prototypes into venture-ready startups, securing a $25K investment upon completion.
π The Antler Edge: Exceptional builders from today's hackathon will skip the standard pipeline and receive direct fast-track interview loops for the upcoming Antler Residency cohort.
π€ Submission
All submissions run through Butterbase. Connect your AI coding agent to Butterbase via MCP and submit your project through the Butterbase flow.
You do not have to build your entire project on Butterbase to submit. That said, if any part of your project uses software or a cloud backend (storing data, auth, APIs, dashboards, your landing page), we strongly encourage you to build it on Butterbase β it's the fastest way to stand up a working backend, and it's how you qualify for the Best Use of Butterbase award.

General Intelligence Labs is building the perception-action stack for the next billion robots, solving the robotics data and embodiment gaps through vertically integrated data-capture hardware and sensorized end-effectors that enable zero-shot robotic post-training from human demonstrations.
Robotic Test Kits: The team is providing a few robots for first-come, first-served use by hackathon teams.
