A 4-hour build event where developers, creatives & community voices team up to create real digital tools for a causeThis Is a Build Event. Not a Pitch Fest.On May 7th, 10x Velocity and the AMPED Technology Center are hosting a four-hour hackathon to create real digital tools and content for Play Cousins Collective — a Louisville organization delivering transformative programming for children and families throughout our West End.Every person who registers is a participant. There are no spectators here.Space is limited and intentionally so. We need creative and focused builders at every table. Before the event, you'll receive a follow-up registration form to identify your scope and niche so we can evenly distribute experience and talent among teams. A laptop isn't a must but if you have one you'll want it with you!--- Who's in the room:Russell Technology Business Incubator members, Shawnee High School Business Academy students, startup founders, local developers, vibe coders, marketers, designers, and community creatives. You do not need a technical background to contribute — in fact, we need people who don't have one. The best outcomes come from all voices in the room, not just the ones who know how to code. There will also be a DJ, snacks, and if all goes to plan, a pirate.---Who we're building for:Play Cousins Collective provides Play & Learn Labs for children, plus workshops for adults on gentle parenting, village building, and community communication. They serve the families of Louisville's West End. They do real work. They deserve a digital presence that shows it and helps them in their missionYour team will help make that happen in four hours.---What you get:Lovable web builder credits — so your team can ship something real, not just a mockup.A table full of people who showed up to actually do something and have some fun.The satisfaction of handing a nonprofit a deliverable they can really use.New connections, side quests, fun and perhaps even some prizes(!)Oh yeah...and the snacks.---Register only if you plan to build. We'll see you at AMPED.
