CodeCrafter: The Ultimate Algorithm Challenge is a prestigious national-level collegiate programming competition inspired by the globally renowned ICPC format. The event is designed to evaluate and enhance the analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and collaborative skills of university students through a rigorous and engaging coding environment. Structured around the “Triple Threat” model, participants compete in teams of three, working together on a shared computing node to design, implement, and debug efficient solutions to complex computational problems. The contest emphasizes real-world programming scenarios where time efficiency, memory optimization, and teamwork play a critical role. CodeCrafter fosters a high-energy competitive atmosphere that promotes algorithmic excellence, strategic thinking, and innovation. By simulating industry-like constraints and collaborative development settings, the event prepares students for real-world challenges in software engineering and data-driven problem solving. With its strong focus on precision, efficiency, and teamwork, CodeCrafter stands as a platform for aspiring engineers to demonstrate their technical expertise and push the boundaries of computational thinking. Eligibility Criteria: CodeCrafter is open to all the current undergraduate and postgraduate students across all colleges and universities in India. Team Formation Guidelines: A team will consist of 2 to 3 members (students), and the one who registers the team will be the team leader. All members of the team should be from the same college/university. Interdisciplinary teams can participate. Only full-time students can participate. All the team members are required to verify and confirm their details to form a team. There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute. Modification of team post-registration will not be allowed. Competition Structure: Round 1: Online Qualifier, Date: 5th April 2026, Description: This is an online preliminary round lasting 3 hours. Teams will face 5-8 algorithmic problems ranging from Easy to Hard difficulty. The contest follows the standard ICPC format, testing logical reasoning and code optimization. Top-performing teams will move on to the next round. Only the team leader can use their account to give the test. All team members must work together on one system to complete the test. Results & Shortlisting: Results of the Online Qualifier will be officially announced on 8th April 2026. Based on the leaderboard and the diversity clause, the top 100 teams will be selected to move forward. These teams will receive further instructions regarding the Grand Finale and must begin the process of obtaining their institutional approval letters. Round 2: Grand Finale (On-Site), Date: 17th April 2026, Description: The final round is an offline, 5-hour challenge held at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Teams will tackle 8–12 problems ranging from Medium to Hard difficulty. Strict rules apply: one workstation per team and no digital devices. Teams are permitted to bring a single printed notebook (max 25 pages). Qualifying teams must submit an official institutional approval letter from their HOD or Principal to participate.
