BIT BY BIT is an annual, non-stop Toolbox Development Hackathon and a flagship technical event of Enyugma, the techno-cultural festival of Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur (IIIT Bhagalpur). The hackathon is designed to bring together innovators, developers, and problem-solvers to build reusable tools, platforms, or frameworks that address real-world and open-ended problems. Participants are encouraged to go beyond conventional applications and focus on solutions that are scalable, impactful, and technically sound. The first round of this edition of BIT BY BIT will be conducted online on Unstop and further rounds will be conducted offline at IIIT Bhagalpur, providing a collaborative environment for hands-on development, mentorship, and evaluation. The event is organized by the Technical Board of IIIT Bhagalpur as part of Enyugma. Proposed Themes: Participants must choose at least one theme and implement it using appropriate technical tracks. Healthcare Education Agriculture Women Safety Teams may work across multiple themes if relevant to their solution. Rules & Regulations: Team Rules: Team size: 1–4 members Inter-college teams are allowed One participant can be part of only one team One team can submit only one project Eligibility: Open to: School students College students (including graduating students) Working professionals Individuals without formal education Project Rules: Only work done during the hackathon duration will be evaluated Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and tools is allowed Any form of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated on the following parameters: Technical Implementation & Design Ease of Use & Demonstration Quality of Idea Potential Impact & Relevance to Theme Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
