ASTRAVA Hackathon 2026 – Official Guidelines
About ASTRAVA:ASTRAVA is a 24-hour high-intensity national-level hackathon focused on innovation, space-inspired problem solving, and real-world impact. It brings together student innovators to design, build, and present technology-driven solutions across emerging domains. Participants will ideate, prototype, and validate solutions under mentorship and time-bound constraints.
Eligibility:
Open to students currently pursuing:
BE / B.Tech, ME / M.Tech
BCA / MCA, BSc / MSc
Inter-college and inter-branch teams allowed
Valid student ID required for offline finale
Registration:
Mandatory registration on the official ASTRAVA website
Submission on Unstop is allowed, but final evaluation requires website registration
Teams are encouraged to submit their ideas on the official website
Team Rules:
Team size as specified on the official website
Each participant can join only one team
No changes to team members after submission
Idea Submission:
Must submit an original idea explaining problem statement, solution, technology stack, and expected impact
Problem statements will also be provided on event day
Plagiarism or pre-existing projects without disclosure → immediate disqualification
Shortlisting Process:
Ideas evaluated on innovation, feasibility, technical depth, relevance, and impact
Top 60–70 teams shortlisted for the offline grand finale
Shortlisted teams notified via official channels
Offline Grand Finale:
Dates: March 6 & 7, 2026
Duration: 24-hour continuous hackathon
Physical presence of all team members is mandatory
Food and accommodation provided (subject to institutional policies)
Project Development Rules:
Teams must develop a working prototype or demonstrable solution
Open-source tools, frameworks, and APIs allowed with proper attribution
Bring your own laptops, chargers, and accessories (extension boxes recommended)
Evaluation & Judging:
Criteria: Innovation, technical implementation, problem-solving, and presentation
Judges’ decisions are final and binding
Code of Conduct:
Maintain professional, ethical, and respectful behavior
Misconduct, rule violations, or damage to venue → disqualification
Certificates & Recognition:
E-certificates for all idea submissions
Prizes and recognition for winners and shortlisted teams
Intellectual Property (IP) Rights:
IP remains with the respective teams
Organizers may use project titles, abstracts, screenshots, and demo videos for promotion
Use of Generative AI & External Tools:
Permitted if:
Usage is ethical and transparent
Proper attribution is given
Core logic and innovation are team-developed
Disqualification Criteria:
Teams may be disqualified for:
Plagiarism or IP violations
False registration or submission info
Breach of code of conduct
Malpractice during evaluation or demo sessions
Communication & Travel:
Participants must check email, website, and Unstop page regularly
Travel and personal belongings are participants’ responsibility
Force Majeure & Event Changes:
Organizers may postpone, modify, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances or regulations
Media & Photography Consent:
Participation grants permission for photography, videography, and media coverage for official documentation and publicity
