SignalForge is a hands-on technical competition designed to assess participants’ ability to apply Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts using MATLAB. Participants will be provided with real-world datasets such as audio signals, ECG/EEG data, vibration signals, sensor data, or communication signals.
Teams must analyze signals, apply suitable DSP techniques (filtering, noise reduction, spectral analysis, feature extraction, classification, etc.), and extract meaningful information within the given timeframe.
The focus is on logical approach, algorithm selection, MATLAB coding proficiency, and interpretation of results
Guidelines:
The event is open to UG and PG students from ECE and allied branches.
Each team can have a maximum of 2 members.
All work must be completed during the event.
Internet usage is restricted.
Participants must adhere to the given time slot (10 AM – 4 PM).
The decision of the jury is final and binding.
Design / Technical Specifications:
Platform Requirement:
Only MATLAB is permitted for implementation.
Data Source:
All datasets and problem statements will be provided during the event.
Coding Rules:
Pre-written or pre-trained scripts are not allowed.
Clean, modular code is expected.
Justification of chosen DSP techniques must be provided.
Internet Usage:
Restricted to permitted MATLAB documentation only.
Submission Requirement:
Participants must submit:
MATLAB code
Output results
Analysis within allotted time
