IoT Hack Fest – Hack the Devices, Build a Smarter World!
IoT Hack Fest 2026 is an exciting on-campus hackathon designed for engineering students and technology enthusiasts to explore the power of Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, embedded systems, and data analytics.
Participants will collaborate, innovate, and build smart solutions that address real-world challenges, encouraging hands-on learning, creativity, and technical excellence in emerging hardware-driven domains.
Event Details:
Date: 04 February 2026 (Wednesday)
Time: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Venue: Sri Eshwar College of Engineering
Eligibility:
Participants must be currently enrolled in an engineering program in India.
Eligible programs include:
B.E / B.Tech
Integrated / Dual Degree (Engineering)
Students from any engineering department and year of study are eligible.
Cross-department teams are permitted.
Each participant may be a member of only one team.
Participants must produce a valid college ID card upon request at any stage for verification.
Any violation of eligibility criteria will result in immediate disqualification.

Participants must choose a problem statement aligned with any ONE of the following themes:
Internet of Things (IoT)
Agri Tech
Robotics and Drones
AI & ML in Hardware & Healthcare
Teams are encouraged to develop innovative, practical, and scalable solutions that address real-world challenges within the selected theme.
Round 1 – Idea Submission (Online)
Mode: OnlineDeadline: 15 January 2026
Registered teams are required to submit their project ideas using the official idea submission form.Idea Submission Form: https://forms.gle/p9we6CSSNkScpEACA.
Ideas must align with the given themes and problem statements.
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
Innovation
Feasibility
Relevance to IoT
Clarity of explanation
Only shortlisted teams from this round will advance to the next stage.
Round 2 – Online Presentation & Prototype Explanation
Mode: OnlineDate: 22 January 2026
Shortlisted teams will present their:
Project idea
Technical approach
Proposed architecture and prototype/workflow
Evaluation will focus on technical depth, practicality, and presentation clarity.
Top 15 teams will be shortlisted for the final round.
Round 3 – On-Campus Hackathon (Grand Finale)
Mode: Offline (On-Campus)Date: 04 February 2026Venue: Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Coimbatore
The jury will review the prototype and suggest changes or improvements. Based on the jury’s feedback, teams must enhance and refine their product within the 8-hour hackathon duration.
Final evaluation will be based on:
Working prototype
Innovation and impact
Technical execution
Final demo and presentation
Team Formation:
Each team must consist of 4 members including one or more girl members
Cross-department teams are allowed.
No changes in team composition will be permitted after registration.
Teams shortlisted for the on-campus round must participate with the same registered members.
Participation Details:
Only teams shortlisted from Round 2 are eligible to participate.
Each shortlisted participant must pay an on-campus participation fee of ₹350.
Lunch will be provided to all participants.
Prizes and Rewards:
The First Prize winner will receive a cash prize of ₹15,000.
The Second Prize winner will be awarded ₹10,000.
The Third Prize winner will receive ₹5,000.
Certificates of Excellence will be awarded to the winning teams.
Discipline and Safety:
Participants must maintain cleanliness and comply with all venue safety regulations.
Any form of misconduct, rule violation, or damage to property may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the event.
