Themes and Indicative Topics:
Domain 1: Healthcare — Telehealth & Digital Health Innovation
Maternal Telecare Risk Triage for High-Risk Pregnancies
Build an AI-enabled telecare system that identifies and prioritizes high-risk pregnancies using remote monitoring data and patient-reported symptoms. The system should assist healthcare workers in identifying complications early and ensuring timely medical intervention for pregnant women in remote or underserved regions.
TB & Respiratory Tele-Triage Assistant for PHCs:
Develop an AI-based triage assistant that helps Primary Health Centers (PHCs) identify potential tuberculosis or respiratory disease cases during remote consultations. The system analyzes symptoms, patient history, and risk factors to guide healthcare workers in prioritizing testing and treatment.
Longitudinal Health Record Companion for Chronic Disease Telecare:
Create a digital companion system that maintains long-term health records for patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, or heart conditions. The system should track patient data over time and assist doctors during teleconsultations by providing comprehensive health insights.
Digital Mental Health Triage and Navigation for Youth:
Build an AI-driven platform that helps young individuals identify mental health concerns and connects them with appropriate resources, counselors, or teletherapy services. The system should provide early mental health support and reduce barriers to seeking help.
Multilingual Voice-First Symptom Narratives for Low-Literacy Patients
Develop a voice-based healthcare interface that allows patients with limited literacy to describe symptoms in their native language. The system converts spoken narratives into structured medical information for healthcare providers.
Medication Adherence & Side-Effect Tracker Integrated with Teleconsults:
Build a system that helps patients track medication schedules and report side effects during teleconsultations. The platform should improve treatment adherence and allow doctors to monitor patient responses remotely.
Digital Front-Door for Migrant Workers: Multilingual Health Navigation:
Create a digital healthcare entry point designed specifically for migrant workers who may face language and access barriers. The system should guide users through healthcare services, insurance schemes, and telemedicine consultations.
Geriatric Telecare Companion for Frailty & Polypharmacy:
Develop an AI-based telecare companion that supports elderly patients managing multiple medications and health conditions. The system should assist caregivers and doctors by monitoring health risks and medication conflicts.
Disaster & Outbreak Tele-Triage Command Center:
Design a centralized telehealth system that helps authorities manage healthcare triage during disasters or disease outbreaks. The platform should prioritize cases, allocate resources, and provide remote consultation capabilities.
Smart Referral & Counter-Referral System Between PHC and Tertiary Hospitals:
Develop a digital referral system that connects Primary Health Centers with higher-level hospitals for seamless patient care. The system should ensure proper patient tracking between different levels of healthcare facilities.
Smartphone-Based Tele-Ophthalmology Screening Assistant:
Create a smartphone-based solution that helps screen eye conditions remotely using camera-based imaging and AI analysis. The system should assist early detection of common eye diseases.
Tele-Rehabilitation Coach Using Smartphone Sensors:
Build a rehabilitation system that uses smartphone sensors to guide patients through physical therapy exercises remotely. The platform should track movement and provide corrective feedback.
Assistive Telemedicine Interface for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing Users:
Develop a telemedicine interface designed to improve accessibility for deaf or hard-of-hearing patients. The system should support sign language interpretation and real-time captions.
Low-Vision & Cognitive-Friendly Teleconsult UX Kit:
Create an accessible telemedicine interface optimized for users with low vision or cognitive challenges. The design should prioritize simplicity, clarity, and ease of navigation.
Consent & Privacy Manager for Patient-Controlled Telehealth Data Sharing:
Develop a secure system that allows patients to control how their medical data is shared with healthcare providers. The platform should ensure transparency and patient-driven consent management.
Smart Tele-Queue & Appointment Orchestrator for Hybrid Clinics:
Build an intelligent appointment and queue management system that integrates both in-person and teleconsultation workflows. The system should optimize patient flow and reduce waiting times.
Climate-Smart Telehealth Hub for Sustainable Care Delivery:
Create a telehealth infrastructure designed to reduce the environmental impact of healthcare delivery. The platform should promote digital consultations and optimize resource use.
Green Telehealth Device & Asset Lifecycle Tracker:
Develop a digital system that tracks the lifecycle of telehealth devices and equipment to promote sustainability and efficient resource usage. The system should monitor device usage, maintenance, and recycling.
Domain 2: Travel — Intelligent & Personalized Travel Experiences
Autonomous AI agent for managing travel disruption:
Build an always-on AI system that automatically handles travel disruptions like delays, cancellations, or missed connections. Instead of the traveler figuring it out, the AI proactively resolves it.
Example Scenario:
Flight delay detected:
AI automatically:
Finds alternative flights
Rebooks
Updates itinerary
Notifies traveler
An AI-powered personal assistant that enhances the traveler's experience during the trip by recommending nearby places, food, activities, and services in real time based on:
Current location
Time of day
User preferences
Trip purpose (business/leisure)
Free time between meetings
The assistant proactively suggests things instead of the user searching manually.
Example Scenario:
A traveler lands in Bengaluru for a business meeting.
At 6:30 PM the assistant sends a notification:
"You have free time this evening. Here are some great places within 10 minutes of your hotel."
Suggestions:
Top restaurants
Coffee shops
Quick sightseeing spots
Business-friendly meeting lounges
