Event Overview:
MarketWise is a machine learning and data science hackathon, which will be held on Unstop for round 1 and offline on Kaggle for round 2. The contest will be like any other Machine learning and data science hackathon that takes place on various platforms. It is designed to ignite creative and productive thinking that revolves around harnessing the potential of machine learning and data science.
Eligibility Criteria & Team Formulation:
Open to all from any discipline in any college based out of India.
Participants can register individually or in teams with at most 4 members.
Cross-specialization and cross-college teams are allowed.
All the team members are required to verify and confirm their details to form a team.
A student can be a part of only one team.
Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.
The Participant(s) should be an Indian citizen, residing in India only and above 18 years of age on the date of the participation.
The Participant(s) should be students currently enrolled in a degree/diploma course (part-time or full-time) from any discipline in any college based out of India.
The Participant should not have a criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant from participating in the Competition.
Competition Structure:
Round 1 - Online Quiz:
The online round is a quiz format, and participants will be tested on their knowledge of basic programming concepts and their awareness of current technology trends.
Questions will cover a wide range of topics related to data science and machine learning.
Participants will have a limited time to answer each question, and their scores will be recorded.
The top performers in the online round will qualify for the offline round at the IIITN Campus.
Only one member from each team will be allowed to participate in the quiz.
Round 2- Offline Round at IIITN Campus:
The offline round is a 24-hour coding competition held at the IIITN Campus.
Participants will be given a dataset to solve a corporate-life-related problem statement.
Participants can choose their preferred programming languages and are allowed to use AI models of their choice.
The competition will commence at a specified time and conclude 24 hours later.
Participants must submit their solutions within the allotted time.

Participate in Event:
Register and participate in the online quiz on 6th Jan 2026.
Selected participants will compete for the prize on 16th & 17th Jan during E-Summit’26.
Attend as an Observer:
Even if you're not participating, you can attend the event as an observer.
Witness the excitement, learn from others, and network with fellow students.
General Rules:
Event Oversight: The conducting team is the primary authority responsible for managing and addressing any issues during the event.
Enforcement of Rules: The conducting team has the authority to enforce event rules and maintain decorum. Rule breaches may result in appropriate action.
Reporting Problems: Participants can communicate concerns or issues to the management team via designated representatives at the venue.
Event Supervision: A dedicated team will oversee all activities and proceedings.
Originality of Ideas: Plagiarism or use of pre-existing business plans may result in disqualification.
Ultimate Authority: All decisions, including selecting winners or providing feedback, are solely at the discretion of the esteemed panel of judges.
