Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune proudly presents VishwaNova 2026, a National-Level Project Competition organized by AViNYA – Innovation & Entrepreneurship Club of MIT-WPU.
VishwaNova provides a platform for students across India to showcase innovative projects, research ideas, prototypes, and technology-driven solutions that address real-world challenges.
Participants will present their projects before an expert panel of judges from academia and industry while competing for an exciting ₹2,50,000+ prize pool.
In addition to prizes, selected projects will also get the opportunity to interact with investors and venture capital representatives for potential mentorship, incubation, and funding opportunities. Projects will also receive recognition through media coverage and digital promotion, giving teams national-level visibility for their innovations.
The competition encourages innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical problem-solving across multiple domains including technology, sustainability, engineering, and social impact.
Rewards & Prizes:
Winner – ₹1,00,000
1st Runner-up – ₹75,000
2nd Runner-up – ₹50,000
5 Consolation Prizes – ₹5,000 each
All shortlisted teams will receive participation certificates.
Selected teams may also receive mentorship, investor networking opportunities, and media recognition for their projects.

Round 1 – Online Project Screening
Teams must submit the following details during the online screening stage:

Additionally, teams must submit:
A 2–3 minute project explanation video demonstrating the idea, working prototype (if available), and expected impact.
The video must be uploaded to Google Drive or YouTube, and the shareable link must be submitted during registration.
Make sure the link permissions are set to “Anyone with the link can view.”

Shortlisted teams will qualify for the Final Competition Round.
Round 2 – Final Project Competition (Offline)
Shortlisted teams will be invited to MIT World Peace University, Pune to present their projects in person on 16 April 2026.
Note: Teams shortlisted for Round 2 will be required to pay an additional ₹800 participation fee to confirm their place in the final round. Selected teams will be notified and provided with payment instructions after the Round 1 results are announced.

Eligibility:
Open to all students across India
Teams must consist of 2–6 members
Students from any academic stream or discipline can participate
Rules:
Each team can submit only one project.
Projects must be original work developed by the participants.
Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
Shortlisted teams must attend the offline final competition at MIT-WPU.
Teams must bring their project setup, laptop, or prototype if required.
The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
