HackSnippet 4.0 - The Ultimate Hackathon Experience
HackSnippet 4.0 is a two-stage hackathon exclusively for students of UEM and IEM, where developers, designers, and innovators come together to build groundbreaking projects. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, this is your chance to innovate, compete, and win!
Guidelines:
Eligibility:
Target Audience: Open to all students of UEM (University of Engineering & Management) and IEM (Institute of Engineering & Management).
Year of Study: Open to students from 1st year to 4th year.
Skill Level: No prior hackathon experience is required. Beginners are highly encouraged!
Team Composition:
Team Size: You can participate Solo or in Teams of 2 to 5 members.
Inter-College Teams: Allowed (Students from UEM and IEM can form teams together).
Inter-Specialization: Allowed (Team members can be from different departments/streams).
Format & Process:
Stage 1 - Registrations
Dates: 5th Feb - 20th Feb, 2026
Process: Fill up the details.Register your teams.
Stage 2 - Online Idea Submission:
Dates: 21st Feb - 23rd Feb, 2026.
Process: Submit your innovative ideas online. Our panel will review submissions and select the best ones for the final stage.
Stage 3 - Offline Exhibition & Finals:
Date: 28th Feb, 2026.
Venue: IIT Research Park.
Duration: 8 Hours of intense building, presenting, and competing.
Tracks / Problem Statements: Participants can build projects under the following tracks:
AI/ML: Most innovative use of artificial intelligence or machine learning.
AppDev/WebDev: Most creative web or mobile application.
Hardware: Most impressive hardware or IoT solution.
UI/UX (Secret Track): Outstanding user interface and experience design.
Rules:
Registration: Participation is open to registered candidates only. Registration is 100% Free.
Originality: All solutions must be original and developed during the hackathon phase. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
Resources: Usage of open-source libraries and publicly available APIs is permitted.
Submission: All projects must be completed and submitted within the stipulated time for the respective rounds.
Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain discipline and professional conduct throughout the event. Any form of misconduct will result in disqualification.
Evaluation: Projects will be evaluated based on Innovation, Technical Implementation, and Presentation.
Devices: Participants must bring their own laptops and necessary devices (BYOD) for the offline event.
Judgement: The decision of the judges and organizers shall be final and binding.
Verification: Bring your participant ID/Student ID for verification at the offline event.
