CapeXtreme 2026 is a 24-hour national-level hackathon organized by St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering, in collaboration with Capestart.
This event aims to bring together talented students, developers, and innovators to build creative solutions for real-world problems. Participants will collaborate in teams to design, develop, and present innovative technological solutions within a limited time frame.
Eligibility:
Open to undergraduates from any recognized college or university.
Students from all engineering and technology-related disciplines can participate.
Team Guidelines:
Team size: 3 to 5 members per team
Inter-college teams are allowed
Inter-specialization teams are allowed
Each team must register with a unique team name
Competition Format:
The hackathon will be conducted in two rounds.
Round 1 – Online Abstract Submission
Teams must submit the ppt of their proposed solution during registration.

Based on the evaluation, 30 teams will be shortlisted for the final round.
Round 2 – Final Hackathon (Offline)
The shortlisted teams will be invited to participate in the final offline hackathon at St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering.
️ New problem statements will be provided at the start of the final hackathon.
Teams must build a completely new solution during the 24-hour period based on the given problem statements.
Participants will be given 24 hours to design and develop a working prototype.
At the end of the hackathon, teams will present their projects to the judging panel.
Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based on:
Innovation and originality
Technical implementation
Feasibility of the solution
Real-world impact
Presentation and demonstration
Rules:
Each team must consist of 3–5 members.
Teams must submit their PPT during registration.
Only 30 shortlisted teams will qualify for the final offline hackathon.
The project must be developed during the 24-hour hackathon.
Pre-built or previously developed projects are not allowed.
Participants must bring their own laptops and required hardware.
Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and frameworks is allowed.
Plagiarism or copying solutions from other teams will lead to immediate disqualification.
Teams must follow all instructions given by the organizing committee.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
