Technothon: AI Battle is a 12-hour online hackathon designed to encourage innovation and problem-solving using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This hackathon follows an open innovation approach, allowing participants to identify real-world problems and build impactful AI-driven solutions.
Participants will ideate, design, and develop their projects within a limited timeframe, demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, and effective execution.
Problem Statement:
Open Innovation (AI and Machine Learning)
Participants are free to choose any real-world problem and propose a solution that meaningfully integrates Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning. The solution should clearly define the problem, demonstrate innovation, and present a practical AI/ML-based approach.
Eligibility:
Open to all college students
Participants may register individually or in teams
Team size: 1 to 4 members
General Rules:
This is a completely online 12-hour hackathon
All participants must be available online for the entire duration
The hackathon details and instructions will be shared at the start of the event
All development must take place within the hackathon duration
Pre-existing projects are not allowed
Use of third-party libraries, APIs, frameworks, and AI-generated assets is permitted only if properly disclosed and credited
Team Formation Rules:
Each team must designate a team leader for communication with the organizers
A participant cannot be part of more than one team
Teams cannot merge or split after registration
Development and Coding Guidelines:
Projects must be original and built entirely during the hackathon
Use of boilerplate code, UI templates, or starter kits must be clearly disclosed
Plagiarism, offensive content, or unethical practices will result in immediate disqualification
Submissions must be functional; non-working projects will not be evaluated
Submission Requirements:
Submissions must be completed before the deadline. Each team must submit:
A working demo (hosted or locally runnable with clear instructions)
A GitHub repository with proper documentation
Presentation slides (maximum 8 slides) explaining the idea, AI/ML approach, tech stack, and implementation
Team details and clearly defined member roles
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Git Commit Policy:
Git commits made after the allotted submission time will not be accepted
Any commits pushed after the deadline will be ignored during evaluation
Judging Criteria:
Projects will be evaluated on the following parameters:
Innovation and Creativity – 20 percent
Functionality and Execution – 30 percent
Technical Implementation – 25 percent
UI and UX Design – 15 percent
Adherence to Theme (AI and ML usage) – 10 percent
Code of Conduct:
All participants must maintain respectful and professional behavior
External help, outsourcing, hacking, or cheating is strictly prohibited
Any concerns or violations should be reported to the organizers immediately
Intellectual Property:
Teams retain full ownership of their projects
Organizers may showcase submissions for promotional and educational purposes
Winners will be announced after evaluation.
