DataHack 4.0 – Into the Spider-Verse is the flagship datathon organized by the Society for Data Science (DJS-S4DS) at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. The event aims to bring together students passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges through collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence.
Participants will engage with industry-relevant problem statements across emerging AI domains and showcase their solutions before a panel of distinguished judges from academia and industry.

Registration
Registrations will remain open until 7th April 2026, 11:59 PM IST.Interested participants must complete the online registration process and form their teams before the deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
Mode of Participation
DataHack 4.0 will be conducted in an offline format. All shortlisted teams are required to be physically present at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai, for the final rounds of the datathon.
Judging Rounds
The evaluation process will consist of three stages:
Round 1 – Resume Shortlisting (Online)An online resume-based shortlisting round will be conducted prior to the event. Based on predefined evaluation criteria, 40 teams will be shortlisted to advance to the offline hackathon.The results of this round will be announced on 8th April 2026.
Round 2 – On-Ground Evaluation RoundDuring the event, participating teams will undergo an intermediate evaluation where judges will assess progress, approach, and solution development. Teams shortlisted from this stage will advance to the final presentation round.
Round 3 – Final Presentation RoundShortlisted teams will present their completed solutions before the judging panel. This round will determine the final winners of DataHack 4.0 based on overall performance and evaluation metrics.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be evaluated on the basis of:
Relevance to the assigned problem statement
Creativity and originality of the solution
Technical complexity and implementation quality
Clarity, structure, and effectiveness of presentation

Generative AI (Gen AI)

Prizes & Opportunities
Exceptional projects will be recognized with monetary prizes and internship opportunities, offered by participating organizations based on judges’ evaluations and sponsor policies.
Decision-Making Authority
The judging panel will hold sole discretion over evaluations, shortlisting, and final results. The organizers reserve the right to amend event rules, structure, or timelines if required.
Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain professionalism and respectful conduct toward fellow participants, organizers, and judges throughout the event. Any misconduct or violation of event guidelines may result in immediate disqualification.
Confidentiality Obligations
Participants must maintain confidentiality regarding problem statements and any proprietary information shared by sponsoring organizations. Any breach of confidentiality may lead to disqualification.

The organizers shall not be held responsible for technical issues, device failures, or connectivity problems experienced by participants. Teams are responsible for ensuring adequate technical readiness.
Important Note
The registration fee is non-refundable, including in cases where a team is not shortlisted after the initial evaluation round.
