HackX 2.0 – Code for Bharat 5.0 is a 24-hour national-level hackathon organized by the Computer Society of India (CSI-SFIT) in collaboration with Google Developer Groups (GDG-SFIT) at St. Francis Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
The hackathon aims to bring together passionate developers, designers, and innovators to build impactful technology solutions aligned with the theme “Bharat 5.0 – Code for a Capable India.”
Participants will collaborate in teams to transform ideas into working prototypes within 24 hours. The event encourages creative problem solving in areas such as FinTech, Cybersecurity, Mobility, and Smart Infrastructure.
The hackathon will take place offline at St. Francis Institute of Technology, Mumbai on 17–18th April 2026.

Eligibility:
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students
Participants from any college or university may apply
Inter-college teams are allowed
Each team must consist of 3 to 4 members
Participants must register through Unstop
Team size: 3–4 members
Each team must submit one idea proposal
Teams must select one of the following domains while submitting their proposal
Domains include:
FinTech & Digital Economy
Cyber Defence & Digital Trust
Future of Mobility & Transportation
InfraTech
Selection Process
HackX 2.0 will be conducted in three rounds.
Round 1 - Registration & Idea Submission
Teams must submit a presentation explaining their idea
The PPT must describe the proposed solution and its impact.
Round 2 - Shortlisting Round
All submitted PPTs will be evaluated by the organizing committee.
Evaluation will consider:
Innovation
Problem relevance
Feasibility
Potential impact
Based on evaluation, TOP 48 teams (12 Teams per Domain) will be shortlisted for the final hackathon.
Round 3 - Final Hackathon (Offline)
Shortlisted teams will participate in the 24-hour offline hackathon at St. Francis Institute of Technology (SFIT), Mumbai.
Note: Shortlisted teams must complete the payment to participate in the offline round. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. (₹250 per member)
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on:
Innovation – 30%
Utility / Impact – 30%
Technical Complexity – 20%
UI / UX – 10%
Presentation – 10%
Rules & Guidelines
Participants must follow the rules below:
Each team must contain 3–4 members only.
Teams must submit their idea PPT before the deadline.
Only shortlisted teams will be allowed to participate in the final hackathon.
A registration fee of ₹250 per participant will be required only after shortlisting.
Participants must bring their own laptops and development tools.
All project development must occur during the hackathon duration.
Teams must present a working prototype or functional demo.
Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or misconduct will lead to disqualification.
The decision of judges will be final and binding.
