BugBash 2026 - 24-Hour National Hackathon
Description
BugBash 2026 is a high-intensity 24-hour innovation sprint focused on problem-solving, debugging, and building impactful tech solutions. Participants will tackle real-world challenges, fix inefficiencies, and develop intelligent systems with a strong emphasis on AI and practical implementation.
This is not just about building it’s about breaking, fixing, and improving systems under pressure.
Participants can choose one of the following tracks:
Track 1 — Build an AI AgentDesign and develop an autonomous AI system capable of identifying, analyzing, and solving real-world workflow problems independently.
Track 2 — Build Something Using AICreate a functional product where AI plays a central role in solving a defined problem or improving an existing system.
Official problem statements will be revealed at the start of the hackathon.
Deliverables
Each team must submit:
Public GitHub repository with complete commit history
Fully functional working prototype
Presentation deck (PPT/PDF)
Clear explanation of:
Problem statement
Approach and implementation
AI integration
Future scope and scalability
Duration
Hour 0: Opening Ceremony & Problem Statement Reveal
During Event: 3 Mini Challenges (debugging / rapid build rounds)
Hour 23: Final Submission Window
Hour 24: Final Judging & Closing Ceremony
Total Duration: 24 Hours (Continuous)
Deadline
Final Submission: Before Hour 23
Late submissions will not be accepted and will lead to disqualification
Submission Mode
Submit a public GitHub repository before the deadline
Repository must include:
Working prototype
Source code with commit history
Presentation deck
Documentation (README with setup + usage)
Teams must be demo-ready during the submission window
Copyright & Permissions
Participants retain ownership of their projects.However, the organizing committee reserves the right to use submitted work for academic, promotional, and showcase purposes.
Disqualification Criteria
Late or incomplete submissions
Use of pre-built or previously submitted projects
Plagiarism or copying code from other teams
Submitting AI-generated solutions without understanding
Violation of event rules or code of conduct
All decisions by judges are final and binding.
