Sevenoaks BUILD 2026

Sevenoaks Build 2026 is your chance to knuckle down and build a functional demo of an app, website, physical product, or something else entirely! The event will run from 07:45 to 20:00 on Sunday 22 March 2026. Anyone can take part, except for students sitting external exams in the summer (Y11 and U6). A selection of project briefs will be available to choose from on the day, with prizes for the best entrants for each brief. There will also be an open category to enter for those who already have an idea and want to use the time to focus on making real progress building a demo. In partnership with Lovable, entrants will receive free credits on the day to use at https://lovable.dev/ along with a free Sevenoaks Build 2026 hoodie. Do I need any prior experience or coding ability to take part? You do not need to have any experience in coding or tech to build something cool in 2026! Thanks to no-code and low-code solutions like N8N, Lovable, Replit, and more, the days of building a demo being the sole right of the tech-literate are over. Build welcomes participants of all abilities and being able to code does not necessarily mean you will have an advantage over non-coders. Do I need a team to take part? Come solo or as a team - everyone is welcome at Build 2026. If you have teammates in mind, please indicate this in the respective field in the signup form. Do I need to commit for the full 12 hours? Build 2026 is a casual event to give you the space and guidance to build something cool in 12 hours. You are free to take as few or as many breaks as you like. We do ask that entrants submit their entries to the submission page no later than 20:00 on the day.
