Hackathon Overview
Step into the PaperBuddy Web Hackathon! We are calling on creators, programmers, and critical thinkers to engineer groundbreaking web platforms that will redefine educational technology. Share your most creative concepts and contribute to developing future EdTech solutions designed to optimize and simplify school management.
Participation Guidelines
Who Can Enter: This event is accessible to every student. We highly welcome and permit collaborative groups formed across different colleges and fields of study.
Group Capacity: You may compete individually or assemble a squad of up to four people (1 to 4 participants).
Technology Permitted: Completely unrestricted! You have the full liberty to utilize any frameworks, coding languages, cloud platforms, or databases you are comfortable with.
Challenges: After registration, participants will be emailed a specific list of challenges. Every group is required to select and tackle just one of these provided issues.
Event Structure & Stages
The competition is divided into two primary stages:
Stage 1 (Concept Pitch): Groups are required to hand in a comprehensive plan that describes their main concept and the technological strategy they intend to use for their selected challenge.
Stage 2 (Prototype Creation): Teams that advance past the first stage will move on to construct their web application and hand in a functional, final model.
Official Rules
Original Code: All programming for the second stage must be authored specifically during the competition window. Turning in previously completed applications will result in immediate removal from the event.
Submission Requirements: To complete the final round, groups need to share a public GitHub link featuring their code, coupled with either a live demonstration link or a brief video walkthrough of their creation.
Permitted Tools: You are allowed to leverage AI coding aids, open-source resources, and external APIs, as long as they are woven into a unique, custom-built application.
Academic Integrity: Copying someone else's work, whether in the initial concept pitch or the final software, is entirely forbidden.
Judging Finality: All verdicts made by the evaluators concerning scoring, advancements, and the ultimate champions are absolute and cannot be contested.
