Event Overview:
HackCrate 2026 is a premier 24-hour national-level hackathon designed to bring together developers, innovators, designers, and tech enthusiasts to build impactful, real-world solutions. Hosted by VIT Chennai, the event focuses on collaboration, creativity, and cutting-edge problem-solving across emerging technology domains. Participants will tackle domain-specific challenges, interact with mentors, and present their prototypes to an expert jury.

There will be a minimal refreshment fee of ₹200 per participant

Participants can choose any of the following technology tracks:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Develop intelligent systems for automation, prediction, and enhanced decision-making.
2. FinTech
Build secure, scalable, and efficient financial technology tools for the digital economy.
3. Cybersecurity
Create innovative solutions to protect digital assets, networks, data, and privacy.
4. HealthTech
Design healthcare technologies to improve diagnostics, treatment, and patient care efficiency.
Round Structure:
Round 1: Idea Submission (Online)
Starts: 21st November 2025
Mode: Online
Task: Submit the problem statement (problem, proposed solution, tech stack, feasibility).
Shortlisting: Teams will be shortlisted for the on-campus 24-hour hackathon based on innovation and clarity.
Round 2: On-Campus Hackathon (24 Hours)
Venue: VIT Chenna
Dates: 9th–10th January 2026
Shortlisted teams will build prototypes, receive mentor support, and present to judges.
