Event Description:
Buildspace is the flagship technical-business case competition hosted by GDG on Campus at TIET.
Unlike traditional hackathons, where projects often stop after the event, Buildspace acts as an incubator for high-potential ideas.
The competition focuses on bridging the gap between technical innovation and commercial viability.
Participants are encouraged to build solutions that are not only technically strong but also financially sustainable.
The event aims to foster a startup ecosystem where students move beyond building simple projects and instead develop the foundations of future companies.
Competition Structure:
Round 1: The Blueprint Brief
A 20-minute quiz designed to test participants’ knowledge of product fundamentals and technological concepts.
The quiz will challenge participants’ logical thinking and technical understanding.
Top-performing teams based on accuracy and performance will advance to the next round.
Round 2: The Forge at Buildspace (On-Campus Round)
A 16-hour offline sprint where the top 40 teams transform their ideas into functional prototypes.
Participants will work intensively to develop practical solutions while refining their product concepts.
This round focuses on combining theoretical knowledge with real-world product development.
Round 3: Final Pitching (On-Campus Round)
Finalist teams will present their projects to a panel of judges.
Each team will deliver a timed pitch explaining their product, technology, and business model.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the judges.
Rules:
Teams must register only through Unstop and provide accurate details of all members.
Participants must follow the event Code of Conduct at all times.
Any form of misconduct or violation of rules may lead to immediate disqualification at the discretion of the organizing committee.
All evaluations will be conducted by a panel of judges, and their decisions will be final and binding.
