Designathon 2.0: Spacebound is a high-intensity creative sprint where imagination meets innovation. Hosted by Google Developer Groups on Campus (GDGC) at Atharva College of Engineering (ACE), this event challenges participants to explore and push beyond the traditional limits of design, whether through storytelling, or visual design, crews will collaborate to prototype solutions for real-world problems in an environment that rewards limit-breaking creativity. Eligibility Criteria: Open To: Any student with a dedicated interest in UI/UX design. Crew Manifest: Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members. Mission Timeline (Rounds) Round 1: Shortlist (Online) Dates: 16th March 2026, 11:00 AM IST to 17th March 2026, 11:00 AM IST Format: 24-hour high-intensity creative sprint. Round 2: Grand Finale (Offline) Date: 23rd March 2026, 09:00 AM IST to 06:00 PM IST Location: Atharva College of Engineering, Malad West, Mumbai Important Note: A participation fee of ₹300 per team is applicable for those who qualify for the Offline Grand Finale. Problem Statement: The specific mission parameters will be unveiled on 16th March 2026. Teams will be tasked with designing innovative and practical solutions for real-world challenges, emphasizing strategic planning and limit-breaking creativity. Submission Guidelines: Format and Contents: Refer to Rulebook Tools: Participants are free to use Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or their preferred design software. Evaluation Criteria: Mission Clarity: Depth of problem understanding and clarity of the solution. Galactic Innovation: Level of creativity and "out of this world" thinking. Crew-Centric Design: Focus on user-centered design and navigation. Interstellar Aesthetics: Visual appeal, UI polish, and professional finish. Systems Viability: The functionality and feasibility of the proposed solution. Mission Debrief: Excellence in presentation and the ability to tell a compelling story. Note: All specific deliverables and submission requirements are mentioned in the Rulebook. Code of Conduct (Mission Protocols) Declassification: The specific mission parameters (Problem Statement) will be unveiled exactly at the start of the Online Round. Authentic Engineering: All designs must be original and created exclusively during the event duration. No pre-built modules or existing files allowed. AI Flight Policy (Ground Rules): The use of AI design-generating tools that automatically create UI layouts, screens, or complete designs (e.g., Stitch, Uizard, Galileo AI) is strictly prohibited. AI Co-Pilots: Participants are permitted to use tools like ChatGPT or similar platforms for content writing, brainstorming, or research purposes only. Approved Engineering Tools: Figma (Preferred), Adobe XD, or similar UI/UX software are permitted for crafting your prototype. No Space Piracy: Plagiarism or the use of copyrighted material will result in immediate disqualification from the mission. Mission Control Authority: All decisions made by the organizing team are final and binding. Offline Round Location The offline round will take place at Atharva College of Engineering.
