About Orbix
Orbix is an 18-hour innovation-driven multi-track hackathon designed to bring together developers, innovators, hardware enthusiasts, and Web3 builders to solve real-world challenges through impactful technology solutions.
The hackathon provides a high-energy collaborative environment where participants ideate, build, test, and present functional solutions within a limited timeframe. Teams will compete across multiple domains, enabling both software and hardware innovation while encouraging emerging technologies.
Participants will work continuously through the night, receive mentoring support, and present their projects before judges from academia and industry.

1. Open Innovation – Hardware
Build hardware-based solutions using:
Electronics

Examples include smart devices, sustainability solutions, assistive hardware, automation tools, etc.
2. Open Innovation – Software
Develop software products across any domain such as:
AI / ML
Productivity tools
Healthcare

3. Web3
Build decentralized solutions involving:
Blockchain applications
Smart contracts
Decentralized apps (dApps)
Crypto-enabled utilities
Tokenized systems
Team Size
Each team must consist of 3 to 4 members
Lone participation is not allowed
Cross-college teams are permitted
Eligibility
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students
Participants must carry a valid college ID/government ID during reporting
Participants from all colleges are eligible

Reporting and Setup

What Participants Need to Bring

Important Guidelines ️
General Rules
All work must begin only after hackathon start time
Teams must submit original work only
Plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification
Use of public APIs/libraries is allowed with proper attribution
Code Rules
Teams must maintain a public/private GitHub repository
Judges may inspect commit history
Major pre-built projects are not allowed
Existing boilerplate/framework setup is allowed
Hardware Rules
Teams must bring specialized hardware if needed
Limited electrical support will be available
Dangerous/high-voltage systems are prohibited
