Event Schedule:
Registration Period - 5/01/2026 to 10/01/2026
Register your Team of 2 to 4 members on Unstop by paying a one-time registration fee of ₹500
Round 1 - Screening - 15/01/2026 to 18/01/2026
Initial screening round to select participants for the main hackathon.

All teams are required to submit a presentation (PPT) + Video link explaning their chosen problem statement via Unstop. These submissions will be evaluated, and based on the assessment, selected teams will qualify for the offline 24-hour hackathon, which will be conducted at the current campus of IIIT Ranchi.Round 1 - Results - 20/01/2026
Results of round 1 will be announced, and selected teams will proceed to the next round.
Round 2 - Offline-Hackathon - 30/01/2026 to 31/01/2026
The flagship annual hackathon Quasar x AI, themed “AI for Economic Development and Social Good ” will commence on 30 January 2026. On the first day, the final problem statements will be revealed exclusively to the shortlisted teams. Participants will then engage in an intensive 24-hour brainstorming and development sprint to design innovative and impactful solutions.
Throughout the hackathon, snacks and refreshments will be provided to all participants.
On 31 January 2026, the evaluation process will begin at 11:00 AM, where teams will present their solutions before a distinguished panel of judges.
Awards Ceremony - 31/01/2026 - 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
The Awards Ceremony will recognize and honor the outstanding teams for their exceptional performance during the hackathon. Winners will be felicitated with mementos and cash prizes.
Prize Details:
First Prize – ₹6,000
Second Prize – ₹4,000
Third Prize – ₹3,000
General Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and students across disciplines.
Team Composition: Teams can have 2–4 members.
Theme: All projects must align with the AI theme and adhere to provided problem statements.
Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain decorum and respect the event timeline.
Submission: Ensure timely submission in the prescribed format; late entries will not be entertained.
Event Terms & Conditions:
The decisions of the organizing committee and judges will be final and binding.
Any form of malpractice will lead to immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Teams are required to bring their own devices and ensure reliable internet connectivity.
The organizing team reserves the right to modify rules and guidelines in the interest of fair competition.
