Webathon – Web Development Hackathon
Description:
Webathon is an exciting web development hackathon conducted as part of Tech Astra 2026.
Participants will design, develop, and deploy a complete website or web application within a limited time frame.
The challenge tests participants' creativity, coding skills, UI/UX design ability, and problem-solving skills.
The theme of the hackathon will be revealed at the beginning of the event, and teams must build their project according to the announced theme.

Eligibility:
Open to students from all colleges and universities.
Participants must have basic knowledge of web development.
Team Size:
Participants can compete individually or in teams of 1–4 members.
Inter-College Participation:
Allowed – Team members can belong to different colleges.
Inter-Specialization Participation:
Allowed – Students from any specialization or branch can participate.

Approximately 3–6 hours of continuous development.
Event Format:
The theme/problem statement will be revealed at the start of the event.
Teams must build a complete website or web application based on the given theme.
Participants must design, develop, and deploy the project during the event period.

Submission Format:
GitHub repository link containing the project code.

Process / Format:
Round 1 – Development Round:
Teams receive the theme at the beginning of the event.
Participants must develop a fully functional website or web application within 3–6 hours.
Teams must submit their project before the deadline.
Round 2 – Evaluation:
Judges will review the submitted projects based on predefined judging criteria.

Design & UI/UX – 30 points
Functionality & Features – 25 points
Responsiveness – 15 points
Code Quality & Best Practices – 15 points
Creativity & Innovation – 10 points
Theme Adherence – 5 points
Total: 100 Points

Rules:
Teams must consist of 1 to 4 members only.
The theme will be announced at the start of the event.
Any front-end or full-stack technology is allowed.
Use of templates or pre-built website themes is strictly prohibited.
Libraries and frameworks are allowed.
All code must be original and written during the event period.
The final project must be submitted via GitHub repository link and live deployment link.
Late submissions may not be considered for evaluation.
Participants must maintain fair play and follow the instructions given by the organizers.
No cancellation or refund will be provided once the registration is completed.
