Event Format: 2-day algorithmic trading challenge Participants design trading bots to operate in a simulated stock market Assets include in-game resources like Oil, Wood, Brick, Steel, and Grain Algorithms place buy and sell orders in an anonymous order book Participants respond to market changes, resource discoveries, and supply shocks The objective is to build the most valuable portfolio Eligibility: 2-day event participation required Only individual participation is allowed Open only to college students Guidelines: Coding must be done in C or C++ Final portfolio value = cash + sum of volume weighted average price of each commodity (last 30 minutes of Day 2) Limited strategy changes allowed between Day 1 and Day 2 Trading tax is applied as a fixed percentage of the notional trade value An additional dynamic fee is applied for trades far from market price Any form of collusion will lead to strict penalties
