Opportunity Overview:
Team-based Competitive Programming (CP) event to evaluate problem-solving, logical thinking, coding skills, and strategic decision-making
Event Rounds:
Screening Round (Mandatory Qualification Round)
Round 1 – Tic Tac Toe Round
Round 2 – Tug of War Round (Final Round)
Overall Event Timing:
8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Team Formation Rules:
Team size must be 2 to 4 members
Team members cannot be changed once the event begins
Each participant is allowed to be part of only one team
All team members must complete the Screening Round to be eligible for further rounds
Round-wise Format & Rules:
Preliminary Round: Screening Round (Mandatory)
Duration: 45 minutes
Format: Individual participation, online competitive programming round, same set of problems for all participants
Number of Questions: 5 basic Competitive Programming problems
Evaluation Criteria: Based on accuracy and time taken; top participants/teams qualify for offline rounds; scores are not carried forward
Rules: No collaboration; malpractice leads to disqualification; qualification is mandatory for Round 1
Round 1: Tic Tac Toe Round
Duration: 2 hours
Format: Team-based; each team gets a 3×3 Tic Tac Toe grid with one CP problem per cell; teams solve problems in any order; submissions evaluated after the round ends
Rules: Only one submission per problem; no external help or code sharing; violations may lead to disqualification; judging panel decisions are final
Round 2: Tug of War Round (Final Round)
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Format: Multiple elimination stages; parallel head-to-head matches; winners advance to next stage
Rules: Solutions must be submitted within match duration; incorrect submissions benefit opposing team; no communication between teams; unfair practice leads to immediate elimination
Evaluation & Results:
Evaluation conducted for 20 minutes
Final rankings based only on Round 2 performance
Winners: First Place, Second Place, Third Place
General Rules:
Participants must carry a valid college ID card
Internet usage beyond contest platform is prohibited
Judges’ decisions are final and binding
Organizers reserve the right to modify rules or format
Misconduct or rule violations lead to disqualification
