Impulse 2026 is the sixth edition of the nationwide Signal Processing and Machine Learning Hackathon hosted by IEEE NITK.
The event aims to ignite participants’ passion for innovation.
This flagship hackathon will take place from January 16th to 25th, 2026.
The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, bringing together enthusiasts from across the country.
Theme & Format:
This year’s theme is Audio Signal Processing.
The focus is on solving critical challenges in audio.
Participants will take part in an intensive 48-hour hackathon.
The hackathon is supplemented by an expert talk and a workshop designed to equip participants with the knowledge needed to excel.

Who Can Participate?
The event is open to BTech and BS/BSc students graduating in 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 from colleges across India.
Cross-college teams are permitted.
Beginners as well as participants with prior experience in Signal Processing and Machine Learning are welcome.
