We are organizing an online developer hackathon to identify passionate BTech students interested in building real-world AgriTech products. This hackathon is part of our effort to form a small founding engineering team for a farm-to-consumer technology platform that connects farmers with customers through flexible pricing and delivery systems. Participants will go through multiple assessment stages designed to evaluate problem-solving ability, coding skills, and system-building experience. Hackathon Format: The event will be conducted fully online and consists of the following stages: Stage 1: Registration and Screening Participants submit their GitHub profile, technical skills, and project experience. Stage 2: Coding Assessment Short technical assignment to evaluate programming fundamentals and debugging ability. Stage 3: Build Challenge Shortlisted participants will build a working prototype of a farm product ordering system with backend APIs, database integration, and a simple user interface. Stage 4: Technical Discussion Final discussion to review implementation decisions and system design thinking. Top performers may be invited to collaborate as founding developers. Eligibility: Open to BTech students from any year and branch Basic knowledge of web development or software development required Familiarity with Git and databases is preferred Individual participation or small teams allowed (2–3 members) Rules: All submitted work must be original Use of open-source libraries and frameworks is allowed Code must be maintained in a public GitHub repository Participants must be able to explain their implementation Plagiarism will lead to disqualification Decisions by organizers will be final Evaluation Criteria: Working functionality Code quality and structure Database and API design Problem-solving approach Clarity of explanation This hackathon focuses on building practical solutions and learning through real product development.
