All that you need to know about Stream Lab 1.0 - India's First AI Media Tech Hackathon About STREAM LAB 1.0 STREAM LAB 1.0 is India’s first AI Media Tech Hackathon, designed to bring together students, developers, creators, and innovators to solve real-world challenges at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Media, Content, and Digital Platforms. Organized by SMADN Agency in collaboration with Shortfundly OTT, STREAM LAB 1.0 goes beyond a typical hackathon by combining a high-intensity 24-hour on-ground hackathon with an open knowledge-sharing and entrepreneurship experience. Event Format Day 1 – 24-Hour AI Media Tech Hackathon - Exclusive on-ground hackathon for shortlisted teams - Participants will receive an on-spot problem statement - Teams will ideate, build, and present a working concept or prototype within 24 hours - Focus on innovation, feasibility, creativity, and industry relevance Day 2 – Entrepreneur Panel & Knowledge Sessions - Open-to-all student event - Panel discussion with founders and industry leaders - Focus on entrepreneurship, media tech evolution, AI adoption, and career insights Competition Structure Round 1: Idea Submission (Online Screening) - Teams must submit an Idea PPT based on the given domains - Ideas will be evaluated for originality, relevance, feasibility, and clarity - Top 25 teams will be shortlisted for the on-ground finale Round 2: Grand Finale (Offline Hackathon) - Shortlisted teams participate in a 24-hour offline hackathon - A new problem statement will be given on the spot - Final evaluation by an expert jury panel Focus Domains Participants are encouraged to build solutions in areas including (but not limited to): - AI + Media - Media Tech Eligibility - Open to UG & PG students from Engineering, Media, Design, and related disciplines - Teams must consist of 4 members - Inter-college teams are allowed - Participants must be available for on-ground participation if shortlisted Rules & Guidelines - All shortlisted teams must be present at the venue for the final round - Problem statements for the final round will be disclosed only at the venue - Teams must adhere to the hackathon timeline and submission deadlines - Any form of plagiarism or rule violation will result in disqualification - The organizers reserve the right to modify rules if required Evaluation Criteria Projects will be judged based on: - Innovation & originality - Relevance to AI Media Tech domain - Technical execution & feasibility - Problem-solving approach - Presentation & clarity Prizes & Opportunities - Prize pool worth ₹10 Lakhs (including cash prizes, perks, and opportunities) - Certificates for all finalists - Industry exposure and networking - Mentorship and recognition from media-tech leaders Important Dates - Registration Opens: 15 February 2026 - Idea PPT Submission Deadline: 20 February 2026 - Round 1 Results: 28 February 2026 - Mentorship Week: 16 – 20 February 2026 - Finale (On-Ground): 7 – 8 March 2026
