The all-girls hackathon hosted by UCL Computer Science is back for its second year! This year, the focus will be on artificial intelligence. Taking place on 16 February, 11:00–14:00, this free event will bring together students to collaborate, innovate, and explore how AI can be used to solve real-world challenges. Working in teams and supported by mentors from UCL academics and students, participants will gain hands-on experience in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Attendees will develop essential soft skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and presenting ideas with confidence. The event will also provide valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with UCL academics and current students to learn more about pathways into computer science and related careers. Application deadline: 19 January. Eligibility: Students from state schools studying A Level Mathematics. Priority will be given to students eligible for free school meals and students from Black British backgrounds. Accessibility: Please let us know of any accessibility requirements you have to ensure a comfortable and accommodating experience during the activities. Contact us: If you have any further questions, please contact: csc.outreach@ucl.ac.uk.
